Welcome to Advanced Resolutions Counseling! I’m Justin Simmons, LCSW-OK, LSCSW-KS.

I help individuals, couples, and families build a bridge from where they are now to where they want to be — even if you’re not quite sure where that is yet.

Are you feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected—from your partner, your goals, or even yourself? Life and relationships don’t always unfold the way we hoped, but that doesn’t mean growth isn’t possible.

With over 30 years of experience, I offer compassionate, solution-focused therapy to help you navigate relationship challenges, emotional pain, divorce, trauma, and life transitions.

I’m here to listen without judgment, challenge where needed, and help you gain clarity, healing, and direction.

Whether you're trying to repair a relationship, navigate a breakup, or rebuild after loss, I'm here to help you find a way forward through:

  • Relationship/couples counseling and communication issues

  • Family therapy

  • Parent-child alienation

  • Divorce & recovery therapy

  • Divorce mediation & co-parenting coaching

  • Trauma-informed support and emotional resilience

  • Trauma bonds and attachment disorders

  • Anger management & emotional reactivity

  • Faith-integrated counseling (upon request)

  • Sexual dysfunction, intimacy, infidelity, forgiveness & accountability

  • Therapy sensitive to adoption, foster, blended/step-parenting, interracial, single, and other non-traditional family structures

  • Specializing in High-Conflict Relationships, Narcissism, and Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD)

As a therapist, I combine empathy with honesty – and even humor.

I respect your values, your pace, and your goals, helping you build insight, make confident decisions, and implement strategies that work in real life.

When relationships can’t be restored, I help couples navigate separation with clarity and care, minimizing harm and promoting healing on both sides.

I work with adults, couples, and families across Oklahoma and Kansas via telehealth, bringing both my clinical experience and real-life experience to the table.

I’ve been married for over 30 years, and I am a father of six and a proud grandparent. I have experience navigating diverse cultural identities, as well as the unique challenges and blessings of fostering and adoption, within my own family.

I also have a background in business and leadership, which helps me support clients facing personal and professional challenges alike. I'm a compassionate, open-minded Christian and happy to incorporate faith into counseling for those who desire it.

As a man in my 50s, I especially love working with men who have been successful in life and are doing quite well in business and professional careers, yet are finding themselves unfulfilled, tired, disappointed, frustrated, and struggling in relationships.

Men are accustomed to providing for our loved ones, being strong for everyone, putting our family first, and sacrificing ourselves in the process. But sometimes we get to a place where we need to admit that we need some help.

This is especially true if you are experiencing procrastination and other avoidant behaviors, starting to disassociate from the people and things you love, experiencing grief and loss, developing obsessive compulsive tendencies to manage anxiety, consistently feeling angry and fed up, dealing with current or past trauma, or possibly having narcissistic traits showing up in your relationships.

If you have no more sh*ts to give, I can relate to that, and we can talk about it. I’ll try to give a sh*t, so you can too again!

Whether you’re hoping to restore your relationship or make sense of a painful ending, I’m here to help you move forward — with honesty, respect, and care.
